OPEN CALL “VOICES IN MOTION: WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS, EXILE, RESILIENCE” – NOVEMBER 2026

We are officially launching the call for applications for women photographers and visual artists working in a context of exile. This initiative aims to create a vital space for visibility, support, and dialogue, amplifying powerful visual narratives shaped by movement, transformation and resilience.
Five emerging and professional artists based in or connected to the Euro-Mediterranean region will be selected for this program. We warmly welcome applications from women photographers – and those who identify as such – who are currently in exile. Applicants may work in any photographic genre or visual documentary form, provided their practice engages with themes of identity, displacement, resilience, reconstruction or belonging.
Selected artists will participate in a curated program designed to foster professional development and international exchange, including:
- An online professional mentorship
- A physical and virtual collective exhibition in Paris at the Maison Galvani by Odile Ouizeman
- A public panel discussion with social photography experts during the PhotoDays Festival in November 2026.
- Cap Reza – The Photographic Art Center exhibition hosted by the Sakura Foundation in Haute-Marne (Île-de-France region), scheduled for summer 2027.

All materials must be submitted in English, French or Spanish. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Please prepare :
- A resume (maximum 2 pages);
- A portfolio (max. 15 pages in PDF format) which may include images, text, archives or mixed-media work;
- An artist statement/statement of intent of 200 words
- A photographic series of 4 to 7 images in JPEG/TIFF, high resolution (HD) – max 3Mb per file. (.zip)
- A descriptive note including title, date, context, technique and series number;
