In a panel discussion to mark the Tokyo exhibition launch of the IWPA Award 2022, Diversity Committee of the Foreign Correspondent Club Japan has invited the IWPA Award Laureate, and some of the finalists and special award winners to talk about their work and the difficulties they face as women photographers documenting such issues as war, injustice, economic hardship, sexual harassment, oppression, identity, and both natural and man-made crises.

Women Photography and Feminisms

IWPA is delighted to announce that it will be participating in the first WOPHA Congress at WOPHA Congress. The Congress Women, Photography and Feminisms is the world’s first international convening of women-led photography organizations. It consists of two days of creative panel sesssions and lectures that will address and seek to repair the underrepresented roles of women in photography. The congress is organized by Women Photographers International Archive (Wopha Fondation), an organization with the mission to highlight the contributions of women photographers to modern and contemporary art in order to question the artistic canon and provoke social change.

International Women In Photo has been chosen to represent « Women Photographers » at the French Pavilion of the World Expo 2020 in Dubai in March 2022, to celebrate #women» & #genderequality»

We couldn’t dream for a better place to showcase a selection of the laureates & finalists of the International Women In Photo Award since its creation in 2016. Thank you to Justine Weulersse, Content and programming Director of the French Pavilion for her trust and giving exposure to IWPA photographers. 

The Results of the IWPA award 2022 will be announced at the French Pavilion!

IWPA team has been dedicated to promoting and #empowering women photographers every year from around the world.
The award started in Dubai in 2016 with its first exhibition at Alliance Française Dubai, after many other exhibitions around the world, from Paris, to Singapore, Switzerland, New Delhi, Tokyo, or Riyadh, it is a true honour to return to Dubai and participate at the French Pavilion at the World Expo 2022 to celebrate women photographers.
